Attix Ladders – Which Attic Ladder Should You Choose?
Attix offers a variety of attic ladders to make your roof storage space easily accessible. The question is, which ladder is most right for you? Each model has its own advantages that may make it a more attractive option for your project. These advantages often centre around cost, ease of access and any spatial restrictions, but every advantage can be very particular to you. Read on to familiarise yourself with our attic ladder range.
Eco Model Ladders
The Eco Model attic ladder comes in both timber or aluminium and is the most cost efficient model of ladder. At $1,460 fully installed for the Timber model and $1,700 fully installed for the Aluminium model this ladder offers a low cost option for easy access to your roof space. The Eco model is also the most space efficient model of ladder, which is why we would recommend this model if you do require a ladder to fit into a tight space. This ladder is most suitable for more occasional access to your storage space to store lighter weight and less bulky items. Suitable for:
- Occasional use
- Mobile users who are comfortable climbing ladders
- Tight spaces
- Budget conscious projects
Utility Range
The Utility attic ladder is a deluxe quality ladder that is also suitable for ceiling heights of up to 3 metres. It comes in both a 2.7 metre and 3.0 metre option which can be adjusted to size as needed. Constructed from New Zealand Pine with a varnished finish this ladder offers an attractive option for more regular use. The deep, non-slip treads, handrail and gentle 63° angle provide ascent for all abilities. There is a side assist spring included which simplifies the folding of the ladder and allows for easy operation. If you are going to be accessing your roof space often then an upgrade to the Utility model would benefit you. We wouldn’t recommend this ladder for installation into tight spaces due to the increased opening length and fold out dimensions. Suitable for:
- Regular use
- Transportation of bigger and heavier items
- Users who are less comfortable climbing ladders
- Areas with less space restrictions
Premier Range
The Premier Model ladder is our premium quality, double lacquered New Zealand pine finish ladder. With its full length safety handrail , deep and wide safety treads and 57° incline angle this ladder is designed for easy and safe access. It is the perfect ladder for regular use and for transporting heavy items into your roof space with a weight bearing capacity of 410kg. We would definitely recommend this ladder for anyone who is apprehensive about climbing into the roof space as the extended safety handrail offers additional support. Similarly the handrail is very helpful for those who have bad knees, or indeed any mobility issues that may usually make climbing a ladder difficult. The fully suspended hatch, in addition to the additional safety features, makes the Premier model the easiest ladder to climb. The side assist spring allows for easy fingertip operation. Suitable for:
- Users who are apprehensive about climbing ladders
- Users who dislike heights or have mobility issues
- Regular use
- Simple operation
- Storage of large items
Alloy Range
The Alloy model attic ladder is a heavy duty concertina style ladder that is constructed in lightweight alloy. It has a more industrial aesthetic in comparison to the varnished timber models. It has an extended safety handrail, as well as wide deep treads and a gentle 63° incline, making is an easy ladder to climb. Again, we would recommend this model for those who are apprehensive about climbing ladders or have any mobility issues. The Alloy range ladders are concertina style ladders making them the easiest ladder to open and operate. As such we would recommend these ladders to users who may be smaller in height or may, for whatever reason, have less strength in their arms. Suitable for:
- Users who are apprehensive about climbing ladders
- Users who dislike heights or have mobility issues
- Users who require super easy opening and operation
- Storage of heavy and bulky items
- Commercial use
- High ceilings
